Our metal-spun zinc lampshades - the zinc discs are spun for us by local manufacturers. The patina is created with a combination of citric acid and copper sulfate, to bring out beautiful charcoal tones. The cap is made from used coffee grounds and resin, and turned on the lathe.
Architect Karolina Brock from LeLa Architects commissioned me to build a casual styled, semi enclosed kitchen for a pool pavilion in Omaha. The kitchen was constructed with band-sawn Rimu with black mesh and solid stone top by Touchstone Matakana. Also constructed two basin and built-in seats for the his and hers shower areas.
I was commissioned to help fit out Green With Envy’s new store on Matakana Rd. They needed a new front door, a table for their courtyard, some shelving for display, and a main counter for the store. The front doors were made out of solid steel frames infilled with Hemlock Cedar. I finished the table with a live edge and powder coated legs designed especially for their courtyard. I installed two SYML shelving units for display. The main counter was constructed with the same materials as the front doors in hemlock and steel.
